"The world is a book and those who do not travel read only one page." I recently read this quote by Augustine and I just love it.

I'm leaving tomorrow for a reunion in Chicago with girlfriends traveling from as far west as California and as far east as Atlanta. So excited!

Then in 10 days I'm heading to ITALY with my hubbie. We just finalized our in-country plans, complete with watching Rick Steves on a video we checked out at the public library from our bed last night. We are quite the procrastinators when it comes to details, but as a trip gets close, it always seems to come together.

For me, travelling seems to bring things back to center. It offers a perspective we often overlook when we are in the thick of it. From dirty dishes to dirty laundry, to driving the "mom taxi", sometimes we forget to look at life from a birds eye view. A bigger picture.

Have you ever traveled somewhere and came back inspired? If so, let us know your favorite spots.

I went to India about ten years ago to a meditation retreat. When I came back I started teaching school, something I thought I'd never do. I'll be fun to see what new doors open for both you and hubbie when you return from Italy. Gayle
